2012 NHL Playoffs, Flyers Vs. Penguins: Philadelphia Sends Game To Overtime With Two Goals In The Third

Two goals from Danny Briere and a third to tie it from Brayden Schenn pulled the Philadelphia Flyers out of a deep hole, giving them a 3-3 tie with the Pittsburgh Penguins after three periods of regulation. The teams are headed to overtime.

Briere added his second goal nearly halfway through the third period. It was a long wrist shot assisted by Schenn. About three minutes later, on a power play, Schenn deflected a Scott Hartnell slapper to tie the game for the Flyers. They held on to keep it 3-3 and headed into overtime.

You can see videos for both third period goals below.

This is the first game of the opening series for the Flyers and the Penguins, one of three NHL playoff games happening on Wednesday night.
