Flyers Vs Penguins: Pavel Kubina Likely To Play Tonight

Defenseman Pavel Kubina is likely to play in place of Marc-Andre Bourdon tonight as the Flyers take on the Penguins in game two tonight.

Kubina was a healthy scratch in game 1, but according to CSNPhilly, Kubina was a participant in today’s morning skate and looks on track to play. Bourdon was injured in game one and has been listed as day to day with an upper body injury.

Peter Laviolette says its just another case of the next man up and he doesn’t expect to make any major changes.

"We have a tremendous amount of faith in all of our players, regardless of who makes the lineup," Laviolette said. "Because one player comes out and one player goes in, we don’t change an identity. You may change the look of a power-play unit if you were to lose a player because you have to move things around a little bit. But the identity and the system and what’s worked for us for the entire year, I don’t believe that you go in and you blow that up and you change it just because you’ve lost a player."
