2012 NHL Playoffs, Flyers Vs. Penguins: Flyers Learn Lesson During Game 4 Blowout

With a chance to sweep the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night in the first round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs, the Philadelphia Flyers instead took an uppercut directly to the chin. The Flyers fell 10-3, allowing five unanswered goals in the second period alone.

"We lost 10-3 in front of our fans. Obviously we're embarrassed. Our fans didn't deserve that, obviously we apologize to our fans, but I'll tell you one thing: It's not going to happen again," Claude Giroux said as featured in a CSN-Philly video.

Added Kimmo Timonen, "It's embarrassing, but there's a lesson to be learned. Every game matters. There are no easy games in the playoffs, and I thought maybe we thought it was going to be easy. But it's not easy. There's a lesson to be learned."
