The Philadelphia Flyers will open the 2012-13 season at home against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 11, 7 p.m. ET. There won't be any matchups against rivals Penguins, Rangers or Devils until the first November game when Philly takes on New Jersey.
In fact, they'll play both the Devils and Rangers in a three-day time span, facing New Jersey on Nov. 1 and New York on Nov. 4. Per the usual, these should make for classic early season matchups in the NHL. Other games against New York and New Jersey features two against the Rangers in February, and two games against the Devils in December.
The Pittsburgh Penguins don't appear on the Flyers' schedule until February. The in-state rivals will go head-to-head on Feb. 12 in Pittsburgh, then again on March 26.
