Phillies Plane From San Fran Had A Close Call

This was an interesting story that took a surprising amount of time to come out. The plane carrying the Phillies back from San Francisco to play game 6 here in Philadelphia had what is being called a "close call" as it was preparing to land at Philadelphia International.

The chartered plane carrying the team was seconds away from landing when an air traffic controller told another plane to move onto the runway for takeoff. The chartered plane aborted its landing and circled the airport before making a safe landing.

Reportedly the two planes were closer than FAA regulations allow for. CBS3 has a recording of the conversation between the tower and the Phillies' pilot.
