The Phillies appear to have "won the offseason" with their shocking acquisition of Cliff Lee and Vegas has installed them as favorites to win the postseason as well... Bodog has Phillies as the favorite to win the 2011 World Series at 7/2.
↵While the Phillies have loaded up on pitching, the Boston Red Sox have stocked up on bats by adding Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez. Their big moves have made them the favorite to win the American League. Clearly with big spending comes big expectations. Will we the "unstoppable force" of Boston facing the "immovable object" of Philadelphia in the World Series? I wouldn't bet on it... but only because if I did I wouldn't make much money if it actually happens.
↵The top 5 favorites are as follows
↵Also as SBNation Boston points out, the over/under for Phillies win this season is 96. Last year, they won 97 without Lee and Roy Oswalt for most of the season.
