Phillies Vs Astros: Phillies Take Early 2-0 Lead

Cliff Lee's return to Philadelphia has been everything as expected so far. In front of a very loud sellout crowd, Lee has cruised through the first three innings having not even let a ball out of the infield. He has four strikeouts and five ground-outs. The only baserunner was a hit batsmen.

Unlike last night, the Phillies offense got off to a quick start getting two runs of Astros starter Wandy Rodriguez in the first. After Shane Victorino flied out to start the inning, Placido Polanco and Jimmy Rollins both singled to put runners at first and second. That brought up Ryan Howard who blasted a ground ball right through the shift to score Polanco and put Rollins on third. After Ben Francisco struck out, Raul Ibanez hit what looked like it might have been a wind assisted double to score Rollins. Carlos Ruiz flied out to end the inning leaving two men on.

It's 2-0 Phillies heading into the home half of the third.
