Phillies Vs Nationals: Roy Oswalt Takes on John Lannan

The Phillies will look to bounce back from only their second loss in the last 11 games after dropping the series opener to the Nationals last night 4-2. The Phils only managed one earned run off starter Livan Hernandez last night and will look better that tonight against John Lannan, who they've had success against in the past. The lefty is 1-10 with a 5.96 ERA lifetime against the Phillies.

He will be opposed by Roy Oswalt, who is making his second start since coming off the DL. His first start was the only other game the Phils lost over their last 10, when Oswalt gave up just three runs but also 12 hits.

"That was better than I thought I was going to be," Oswalt said. "It wasn't like I was giving up doubles into the gap. It feels good to be back on the field. Hopefully I can finish out the year."

This will be Oswalt's first start at Citizen's Bank Park since June 12th. The game will be shown nationally on MLB network tonight at 7.
