Cliff Lee will look to build on his fantastic August tonight as he and the Phillies host the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park. Lee has been dominant for the past month going 4-0 with a 1.71 ERA in his last four starts. That said, he's been ever better against the Mets this year. In two starts he's 1-0 with a 0.64 ERA and actually earned a no decision last time out after throwing seven innings of one run ball.

Lee will be opposed by Dillon Gee who has 11 wins and has pitched to an ERA slightly under 4 this year. This is only his second start against the Phillies, but he did give up four runs in less than two innings of relief in his first appearance at Citizens Bank Park. Overall, the Phillies are 8-8 against the Mets this season.

The Phils will be without two familiar faces tonight as Jimmy Rollins and Raul Ibanez will both be out with groin injuries. Rollins has been placed on the DL with a grade two groin strain while Raul has been scratched with soreness in the groin. They will be replaced with Wilson Valdez and John Mayberry Jr. respectively. Tonight will see the return however of Placido Polanco, who was activated from the DL to fill the roster spot vacated by Jimmy Rollins.
