Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is adjusting from being moved from the leadoff spot to batting third. The Phillies are only four games into the 2012 MLB season but are are 1-3 and struggling to find offense. Rollins isn't concerned about hitting third but does note the changes from the leadoff spot, such as hitting with two outs more often.
Rollins' batting average .250 in four games this season. He has four hits (none are extra-base hits) and three strikeouts to go with one stolen base. He has also hit safely in three out of four of the Phillies' games. Rollins hits .272 for his career. The veteran and 2007 NL MVP, who has played his entire career with the Phillies organization, hit .268 last season with 16 homers and 63 RBI.
