The Philadelphia Phillies open a three-game series with the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night after splitting a four-game set with the Chicago Cubs. (Game Time: 7:10 p.m. ET, TV Schedule: TCN, MLB Network)
Philadelphia's bats came alive to jump all over the Cubs Monday, as the Phillies plated four runs in the first inning en route to a 6-4 win. Vance Worley allowed just one run and five hits over seven innings, but reliever Chad Qualls surrendered three runs to allow Chicago to tie the game in the eighth inning. Qualls later received the win when Placido Polanco struck a two-run double in the bottom half of the eighth.
Cole Hamels takes the mound Tuesday for the Phillies. The Braves will counter with Brandon Beachy.
