The Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox will conclude their three-game, inter-league set Sunday, as Cliff Lee and Josh Beckett will opposes each other at Citizen Bank Park (1:35 p.m. ET on TBS). The two franchises will decide the winner of three-game series, which featured the Phillies (21-20) winning Game 1 and the Red Sox (19-21) taking Game 2.
Lee (0-1, 1.95 ERA) is still looking for his first win of the season thru five starts, despite having an ERA under two. In his last two starts, the bullpen has blown both leads.
Meanwhile, Beckett (3-4, 4.97 ERA) is coming off a solid seven-inning start against the Seattle Mariners, who struck out nine times.
On Saturday, Phillies starting pitcher Joe Blanton lasted just 4 1/3 innings allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits, while Red Sox starter Jon Lester went six innings on four runs. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Philadelphia.
