Roy Halladay Leaves Phillies To Tend To 'Personal Matter'

Philadelphia Phillies ace Roy Halladay didn't appear to be himself Wednesday night, surrendering eight earned runs in just five and one thirds innings of work.

His unusual outing could be related to his mind being in a different place, as it was reported this morning that Halladay has left the team to tend to a 'personal matter.'

The report states that there is nothing wrong with Halladay's health.

Despite the poor outing on Wednesday night, Halladay still boasts a 3.40 ERA this season. While it's not in the stratosphere that he usually achieves, it's still an early season and he is likely to resume his typical dominance upon his return to the Phillies.
