The Philadelphia Phillies will begin a three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, in Toronto. Friday's starting pitchers are slated to be Vance Worley for the Phillies, opposed by Drew Hutchinson for the Blue Jays.
The Phillies are 31-34 on the season and trail the NL East-leading Washington Nationals by nine games in the standings. They also sit behind the Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins and New York Mets.
Winners of two straight, the Phillies will look to keep the ball rolling against against a struggling Blue Jays team. The Jays have lost three straight and six of their last seven. Ricky Romero and Henderson Alvarez are slated to start games two and three for Toronto.
