Phillies Vs. Marlins: Cole Hamels, Phils Lose 5-4

Cole Hamels lost only his second game of the season Saturday afternoon, when the Phillies dropped a close one to the Miami Marlins.

Hamels went 6.2 innings, allowed five runs, on seven hits and two walks. He fanned eight, but it was two mistakes to Hanley Ramirez, that resulted in two home runs, that ultimately knocked Hamels out of the game. The loss drops Hamels to 8-2 on the season, and raises his ERA to 2.81.

Ricky Nolasco was the winning pitcher for the Marlins. He went seven innings, allowed four runs, on eight hits and two walks. He also fanned five batters. The win brings Nolasco's record to 6-3 on the season.

Hunter Pence homered for the second consecutive game.

The rubber match of the series is scheduled for Sunday.
