Chase Utley Update: Utley Hits First HR In Rehab Assignment

Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley continued his rehabilitation for a recurring knee injury on Wednesday night, going 2-for-3 with his first home run since beginning a rehab assignment last week.

Utley's other hit was a single as he helped Clearwater to a 3-2 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays. He left the game after eight innings after starting at second base. At the time he left the game, Utley had batted in both of Clearwater's runs and managed two of his team's three hits. Three more hits in the ninth inning allowed Clearwater to eke out the victory.

With the first multi-hit game of his rehab assignment, Utley raised his batting average to .217 (5-for-23). He did not register an error in four chances in the field.
