The Philadelphia Phillies will try to get back to their winning ways on Monday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies lost two of three to the Miami Marlins over the weekend are are looking to rebound in a hurry. Even though Philly is 28-27, it's currently in last place in the ultra competitive NL East, albeit by three and a half games.
Vance Worley will take the hill for the Phillies which tends to be good news. Worley is 3-2 on the campaign with an ERA of 3.07. It's going to be Worley's first start since May 11th, right before his stint on the disabled list with an elbow injury.
He'll have his work cut out for him right away, facing Clayton Kershaw. The dominant southpaw is only 4-3 but has a sterling 2.42 ERA.
In Kershaw's last start, he was knocked around by the Milwaukee Brewers to the tune of five runs in 5 2/3 innings. However in his three outings prior to that, he only yielded two earned runs in 23 frames.
