Phillies Vs. Dodgers Final Score: 6-5 Loss Makes It 5 Straight For Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Phillies did not catch a break on Wednesday night with Matt Kemp out of the lineup for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Philadelphia lost 6-5 on Wednesday night, and the skid continues with their fifth straight loss.

Kyle Kendrick picked up his fifth loss of the season when he came apart in the sixth inning. The right-hander walked in a run before giving up a two-run single to Dee Gordon that gave the Dodgers a 5-4 lead. Kendrick struck out six and walked five in the effort.

Ty Wigginton doubled in a run in the bottom of the ninth, but the rally fell short. The Phillies have one more left against the Dodgers on Thursday afternoon before starting a series against the Orioles. Cole Hamels gets the ball for that game.
