Phillies Vs. Orioles: Interleague Play Begins For Phils Against Surprising O's

Joe Blanton and the Phillies will look to snap a six-game losing streak on Friday.

The Philadelphia Phillies will look to snap a six-game losing streak when they begin a three-game inter-league set with the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.

At 28-31, the Phillies reside at the bottom of the NL East – six games behind the first place Washington Nationals. The Orioles are coming off a series victory over the Boston Red Sox and currently co-lead the American League East, with the Tampa Rays.

Friday's pitcher, Joe Blanton, has struggled since his good start to the season. Over his last seven games, he's pitched 42.1 innings, while allowing 29 earned runs, and a whopping 11 home runs.
