Philadelphia Phillies Call Up Prospect Phillippe Aumont

Its been a long time coming, but the Philadelphia Phillies got their chance Tuesday to finally recall the centerpiece of the 2009 Cliff Lee trade, as prospect Phillippe Aumont was brought up from the minor leagues. The move was made Monday night after the Phillies' 12-5 victory in Game 1 of the four-game set at Citizen Bank Park.

Aumont, a 23-year-old righty, will replace lefty Jeremy Horst in the Phils' rotation after he was placed on the three-day paternity leave list.

The SB Nation blog The Good Phight, provided a sscouting report on Aumont on Tuesday:

Aumont is a big right hander who features a mid-90s fastball with heavy sink, a very good splitter, and a good curve. Still just 23 years old, and having shown flashes of brilliance, this isn't a guy you give up on.
