Phillies Vs. Reds: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The Philadelphia Phillies will be aiming to garner a split against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park.

In what should be a terrific pitching duel, the Phillies are sending Cole Hamels to the mound while the Reds are calling on Johnny Cueto to secure the series.

Hamels has been an absolute horse all season for Philly, posting a 14-6 record with a 2.94 ERA. The southpaw has been his typically dominant self lately. In his last three starts, Hamels has two complete-game shutouts to his name and a 3-0 record/

Cueto is also in the NL Cy Young race. The 26-year-old Dominican is proving to be one of the elite pitchers in the game with electric stuff at his disposal. Cueto has compiled 16 wins and a 2.44 ERA as the ace of the NL Central-leading Reds.

In his last two starts, Cueto has shut down the Chicago Cubs, allowing just two runs over 16 innings with two walks to 11 strikeouts. Not surprisingly, he earned wins in both outings.
