Nationals Vs. Phillies Final Score: Cliff Lee Picks Up Third Victory Of 2012 In 4-1 Win

The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals, 4-1, on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia took all three games of the three-game set.

The Phillies got on the scoreboard first with three runs in the fifth inning, then added one more in the sixth inning. Cliff Lee provided some of his own offense when he hit an RBI double in the fifth. Jimmy Rollins also homered in the fifth inning, which scored Lee. Laynce Nix hit a solo homer in the sixth to give the Phillies a 4-0 lead. Tyler Moore plated the only run in the game for the Nationals on an RBI double.

Cliff Lee picked up his third win of the season. Lee went seven innings in the win, giving up seven hits and one earned run while striking out five batters. Jordan Zimmermann took the loss for the Nationals, giving up three hits and three earned runs in five innings. Josh Lindblom picked up a save for striking out three batters during the final 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for Philadelphia.

The Phillies (61-67) will begin their next series on Tuesday against the Mets (59-69) at Citizens Bank Park.
