Phillies Vs. Marlins: Cliff Lee Leads Phillies To Seventh Straight Win

The Philadelphia Phillies continued to roll on Wednesday, riding the arm of Cliff Lee to their seventh straight win with a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins.

Lee pitched seven strong innings and Jimmy Rollins blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Phillies the win and a sweep over the Marlins. The win improved Cliff Lee's record to 5-7 with a 3.36 ERA and Jonathan Papelbon finished the game by earning his 34th save of the year.

Josh Johnson (8-12) gave a solid effort for the Marlins, going seven innings and only allowing four hits, but got the loss after Rollins home run broke a 1-1 tie. That makes back-to-back games with a home run for Rollins who has a hit in 13 of the Phillies' last 14 games.

The Phillies move to 72-71 and are above .500 for the first time since June 3. The Phillies will now travel to Houston to take on the Astros, holders of the worst record in MLB.
