Phillies-Rockies Update: Saturday's Game Postponed

The Philadelphia Phillies and Colorado Rockies didn't get a chance to play on Saturday night.

After sitting through a 2 hour 49 minute rain delay at Citizens Bank Park, the game was finally called and rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader for Sunday. The first game is slated to begin at 1:05 p.m. ET, with the nightcap to get underway at 6:35 p.m. ET.

With the Phillies at 67-71, Charlie Manuel's club is just trying to finish in 3rd place in the National League East and maybe reach .500. The team has been crushed by injuries to stars like Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Roy Halladay, leaving Philly to scratch for wins.

Considering the Rockies have had a very tough season themselves, the Phillies will have a chance to claw two games closer to the .500 mark. After Colorado leaves town, the Miami Marlins will come in for three before a road trip ensues, starting with a four-game series against the hapless Houston Astros.
