With their second round pick in the MLS Super Draft, the Philadelphia Union have selected University of North Carolina midfielder Michael Farfan. He’s an attacking midfielder known for his speed and passing ability. Our own college soccer experts here at SBNation were high on Farfan in their mock draft saying, "Farfan is arguably one of the best attacking midfielders in this draft. He’s one of the best passers in this draft and possibly the most talented senior in this draft."

Farfan also has international experience having played for the US national team in the Under 17 Word Cup.

The official MLS site liked the pick from the Union.

A good pick there for the Union, looking for some depth in the midfield. Farfan was a projected first rounder and even a top-5 pick in some camps, but he slides here.

The Union have one more pick to make in this draft, the 41st overall. Below is Farfan's official highlight from the MLS website.
