2012 MLS Standings: Philadelphia Union Remain Ninth In Eastern Conference

Although the Philadelphia Union were able to beat up on Toronto FC 3-0 on Sunday, they are still buried in the Eastern Conference standings, as they rank ninth with 17 points. The Union have played better as of late, winning three of their last five matches, and rank just four points behind the eighth-place Montreal Impact and just five points back of sixth place.

As for the Western Conference, the race between the San Jose Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake is heating up, as the Earthquakes hold a one-point lead over Salt Lake. The race between these two down the stretch will be an interesting one to monitor.
