The Columbus Crew come in for a visit with the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night at PPL Park.
The two teams are headed in opposite directions. The Crew are climbing up the standings and perhaps on their way to a playoff berth in the tough MLS Eastern Conference. Unfortunately the Union appear destined to miss the postseason, sitting in eighth place.
However the last time these two teams faced each other, Philadelphia walked off the pitch with a 1-0 victory and three well-deserved points in hand back on April 14. It was a Gabriel Gomez penalty kick that was all the difference in that match.
This time around, Union will be looking to snap a four-game winless streak. Philadelphia hasn't won a contest since all the way back on July 29 against the struggling New England Revolution.
On the other side of things, the Crew are attempting to win their third straight game, something they haven't been able to do all season.
