<p>After losing their final regular season game of the 2011 season to the <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/wisconsin-badgers" class="sbn-auto-link">Wisconsin Badgers</a> 45-7, the Penn State Nittany Lions dropped three spots to No. 23 in this week's AP Poll.</p>
<p>Penn State finishes the regular season at 9-3 and waits to find out their fate for the bowl season. Penn State's loss opened the door for the Badgers to win the Leaders Division and to play in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis on Dec. 3. Wisconsin will play the Michigan State Spartans.</p>

<p>The Penn State football program lost its third game of the 2011-12 season Saturday, 45-7, at the University of Wisconsin, and the result led to a drop in the latest <a href="http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/week/14">college football rankings</a>, released Sunday afternoon.</p>
<p>After being ranked No. 19 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll last week, the Nittany Lions (9-3) fell to No. 22 this week. Penn State is the lowest of the five ranked Big Ten schools, as Michigan State (No. 9), Wisconsin (No. 12), Michigan (No. 16) and Nebraska (No. 19) are all ranked ahead of PSU. The Spartans and Badgers will meet each other in the inaugural Big Ten Conference Championship (8:17 p.m. on FOX), Saturday, Dec. 3.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the USA Today's top five looks a bit different than the <a href="http://philly.sbnation.com/penn-st-nittany-lions/2011/11/27/2589902/college-football-rankings-week-14-penn-state-football-falls-in-ap-poll/in/2354029">AP Poll's</a>.
