Andy Reid held a press conference Friday following Thursday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, discussing his job security, his team's effort and claims that receiver DeSean Jackson did not play his hardest on Thursday.

When asked if he was worried about his job security, Reid said he couldn't because he needs to be focused on other things.

"That's a logical question, but as a coach, you don't do that. I'm being as honest as I can with you. I don't worry about that. I worry about getting better, and that's where I put all of my energy in. That's what I can control and become a better football coach, and make my assistants better while at the same time, make my players better," Reid said.

The coach said he felt Philadelphia's energy and effort was good Thursday night but a lack of execution doomed them. He put a lot of the blame on himself, and said he wasn't sure whether the team put too much weight into preseason expectations.

"I don't know about that. I said this during training camp, there is a difference between expectations and reality. The reality is that every year you have to come together as a football team, coaches and players all working together and pulling the rope in the tug of war in the same direction. So, I think we're all searching," said Reid.

"The players, these guys want to win as professional athletes. They want to win and be successful. Coaches want to win and be successful. Everybody is looking for that answer right now, and you're going to get a variety of answers from different individuals and I'm not worried about that. What I am worried about is what do we need to do to get better and get those answers out there, then work on those in practice."

The NFL Network, which aired the game, repeatedly discussed how DeSean Jackson seemed disgruntled, questioning his will to win. But Reid was vehement in support of Jackson, who has been suspended this season for missing a team meeting.

"Let me tell you something. I've a chance to go over that with [Director of Football Media Services] Derek [Boyko], and I'm disappointed with a lot of things. I'm disappointed with the NFL Network, very disappointed in the way they portrayed that. I'm going to tell you now that DeSean was all-in in that game, and he had a great attitude during that game. You can take a camera and make some things look any way you want to make it look, but that kid was all-in last night. I was proud of him for that," Reid said.

Reid also said there was no truth to the report that Jackson was sitting by himself and not interacting with teammates on the sidelines.

"Not at all. Absolutely nothing there. You can take...I'm not sure they know who is talking to who and so on, and what the conversation is about. Not knowing the language, I don't know how you're able to go into that. This is all petty stuff I know, but I'm telling you the kid was all-in. He had a great attitude and that's what I can tell you. There wasn't anything on the sideline or anything with him and Vince. There is nothing there. Nothing," he said.

DeSean Jackson has obviously endured a frustrating season for a lot of reasons. Some are justified, some maybe aren't... But clearly it's not a happy time. Last night, he got fed up with the questions asked by reporters after the game and just walked out of the interview.

Now, I can't defend DeSean's play or his attitude this year. In fact, if I was Andy Reid I'd probably bench him for the effort he's put forth over the past month. But as far as this incident goes, I can't blame him. It seems to me like he was being hounded by these reporters, who were clearly trying to get him to say something wrong and he just didn't want to play the game anymore. I think he was absolutely right to walk out.

Thursday night football between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks, which emanated from the CenturyLink Field in Seattle, WA, has come to a close.

So too, has the playoff hopes for the Eagles, barring some cosmic shift in the NFL universe.

That's because Philadelphia was finished off in Seattle by a final score of 31-14, following a fourth quarter collapse by quarterback Vince Young that produced two interceptions.

The Eagles actually opened the final frame with a touchdown and held the Seahawks scoreless on their next possession; however, once they got the ball back and started to make a drive towards the end zone, things began to fall apart.

From first and 10 at Seattle's 22-yard line, Young went short for LeSean McCoy, only to have it intercepted by David Hawthorne, who ran it back 77 yards for a touchdown, driving a stake through the hearts of Philly fans in the process.

Philadelphia would regain possession and Young would throw his fourth interception of the night with just minutes to play, but at that point it was pretty much academic.

If the Philadelphia Eagles expect to keep their playoff hopes alive, they better do something -- and do it fast. They currently trail the Seattle Seahawks 24-14 early in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Vince Young started the third quarter much like he did the first: By throwing an interception on the opening drive. And, just like the first quarter, Tarvaris Jackson was able to capitalize on the mistake, this time finding wide receiver Golden Tate to tack on another six.

Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka did his thing and made it seven.

Philadelphia was finally able to get back into the end zone at the start of the fourth quarter, thanks to a 17-play drive across 82 yards. They needed roughly 10 minutes of possession, but it paid off when LeSean McCoy was able to run it in to pull the Eagles within 10.

Now they have to do something they haven't been able to do all game and that's keep the Seahawks out of the end zone.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha suffered a neck injury in the second quarter against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night at CenturyLink Field.

He is not expected to return.

Asomugha went up for a pass opposite Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams and came down on the back of his head. To make matters worse, Williams came down on top of him.

The former Raiders standout was slow to get up and had to be helped off the field. Aside from a possible injury to his neck, he's also being examined for head trauma.

The loss of Asomugha could turn out to be a major blow for the Eagles, who already trail Seattle 24-7 in the fourth quarter and need to make some magic happen to keep the game -- and their playoff hopes -- alive.

The Philadelphia Eagles were able to get on the board in the second quarter of their Thursday night match-up at CenturyLink Field. Unfortunately, so did the Seattle Seahawks, which means it's still a ten-point game.

The home team drew first blood when running back Marshawn Lynch turned on the jets and sprinted one in from 40 yards out and after Steven Hauschka split the uprights, the Seahawks took a commanding 14-0 lead.

Philadelphia was able to answer on the very next drive thanks to a mental error on the part of Seattle, one that left Riley Cooper all alone deep in Seahawks territory. Vince Young was able to air one out for a 47 yard completion and give the Eagles a shot at scoring from the third yard line.

Two plays later, that's exactly what they did.

It remained a seven-point game until late in the half, when Seattle was able to drive downfield and put Hauschka within range, and the 49 yard attempt was good to make it 17-7.

Philadelphia threatened with a few seconds left to play, but an up-for-grabs bomb into the end zone was batted away.

The Philadelphia Eagles are on the road in week 13 to take on the Seattle Seahawks tonight at the CenturyLink Field in Seattle, WA. After last week's loss to the New England Patriots, the Eagles are trying to prove they're still in the NFC East playoff picture.

So far, all they've proven is they can't find the end zone.

After winning the coin toss, the Seahawks weren't able to get anything going on their opening drive. The Eagles took over at the 12:38 mark -- and proceeded to give the ball right back to the home team.

That's because quarterback Vince Young went deep for wide receiver DeSean Jackson, except he found Seattle's Kam Chancellor instead. The Seahawks were able to capitalize on the mistake and drive 65 yards across five plays to make it a seven-nothing game.

Seattle has now scored to open the second quarter making it 14-0.

The Philadelphia Eagles have just released their list of inactives for tonight's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin are certainly no surprises as we knew they would miss the game earlier in the week. The Eagles got a boost earlier in the day when word got out that running back LeSean McCoy would start the game. Defensive back Nnamdi Asomugha was questionable for tonight's game earlier this week but is not listed on the inactives. Vince Young (quarterback) and Riley Cooper (wide receiver) will again get the starting spots over the injured Vick and Maclin.

The Seahawks also released their inactives for tonight's contest.
