The Pennsylvania Quakers snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday night with a 75-72 win over the Manhattan Jaspers in MAAC action at the Palestra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Not surprisingly, Penn's senior point guard Zack Rosen was the top scorer of the night, bucketing 20 points and one rebound with five assists and one steal. The Jaspers' George Beamon led Manhattan with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in a losing effort.

The Jaspers actually led 39-34 at the half; however, a couple of missed three-pointers cost Manhattan in the end and Penn was able to capitalize on the mistake.

Tuesday night's win pushes the Quakers, who move on to face the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday at the Pavilion, to an even 4-4 (2-4 at home). The Jaspers fall to 3-4 in defeat (0-3 on the road) and will next face the Rider Broncs on Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium.

Penn defeats Manhattan 75-72 at The Palestra to break a three game slide.

The Penn Quakers (3-4) have had a busy November slate with eight games on the schedule. The final game is tonight at The Palestra at 7 p.m. when they host the Manhattan Jaspers (3-3) out of the MAAC. Penn comes into the contest having dropped their last three games in a row. The Jaspers have lost their last two games.

Penn leads the all-time series 6-3. Manhattan took the last meeting between the teams 59-54 in 2010. The Jaspers have also won three of the last four in the series. Penn is 12-12 against current teams of the MAAC.

Penn is led by senior guard Zach Rosen who scores 21.6 points per game (12th nationally) and dishes out 5.7 assists per game (36th nationally). Rosen has already hit 27 three-pointers this season. Manhattan's leading scorer George Beamon (14.8 points per game) is questionable for the game tonight. Roberto Colonette and Michael Alvarado both average just under 10 points per game for the Jaspers and will have to make up for Beamon's output.
