Jaromir Jagr's return to Pittsburgh Thursday night was a big story in the NHL, plus he scored a great goal so obviously NHL.com made a big deal of it. But I got a particular kick out of the puns they used to describe the action. First, was his goal, which they titled "Jaro-merely Doing his Job"

And then the Alanis Morissette allusion to title their game recap....

The Flyers broke their two game losing streak with a 4-2 road over the Penguins in what will be their final tune-up before the Winter Classic on January 2nd. Sergei Bobrovsky made 24 saves while Jaromir Jagr and Max Talbot, both ex-Penguins, scored in their return to Pittsburgh. The Flyers are now 4-0 at Consol Energy Center.

The home team got off to a fast start when Jordan Staal scored just :44 seconds into the game. However, the Flyers would respond with three straight goals from Kimmo Timmonen, Jaromir Jagr (12) and Matt Read (12). The Pens would keep it close when Tyler Kennedy scored late in the third period, but an empty net goal from Max Talbot ended the threat. It’s Talbot’s 10th of the season, a total he took the last two years to reach in Pittsburgh.

Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek & Sean Couturier each had two points on the night. For Couturier, it was his first game back since being hit in the ear with a puck against Boston.

The win leaves the Flyers tied for second in the Eastern Conference with the New York Rangers, setting up what should be an epic outdoor tilt on January 2nd in the Winter Classic.

"To me, it doesn't matter," Jagr said of returning to Pittsburgh. "I just play every game the same - Pittsburgh, Rangers, Tampa Bay. It doesn't matter." (via Flyers.nhl.com)
