With a chance to virtually seal their Ivy League crown on their home court, the Harvard Crimson were unable to fend off the pesky Penn Quakers on Saturday night, falling 55-54.

Penn won the game with stellar play down the stretch, scoring 15 of the game's final 20 points and overcoming a six point halftime deficit.

Star guard Zack Rosen hit a pair of free throws with 23 seconds remaining to put Penn up for good, and finished with a team-high 20 points in 39 minutes.

The loss hurts Harvard's hopes for an Ivy League title, as they now stand just a half game ahead of Penn in the standings and the race is open with two conference games left for the Crimson.

Penn will next play on Friday night Vs. Brown, which marks the start of a three game stretch in four nights to close the regular season for the Quakers.

Penn and Harvard meet in a showdown between the Ivy League's two best teams.

The 16-11 Penn Quakers will travel to the Lavietes Pavilion on Saturday night for their second match-up with the first place Harvard Crimson this season. With only a few games remaining in the regular season and the two teams separated by only one loss in the conference standings, this showdown has serious Ivy League implications.

These teams met two weeks ago at the Palestra, where Harvard topped Penn by a final score of 56-50 in a sloppy contest where both teams shot under 35 percent from the field. The biggest difference in the game was the free throw discrepancy, where Harvard was able to attempt 13 more than Penn.

Both teams bring winning streaks into tonight's contest – three for Harvard and four for Penn – and both teams will be playing the second game of a back-to-back. Harvard narrowly beat Princeton on Friday and Penn beat Dartmouth by three points, on the road.

Tip is scheduled for 7:00 EST.
