Temple Drops the Bobcats 76-65

Rahlir Jefferson scored a career-high 18 points off the bench to lead the Owls to victory over the Ohio Bobcats in Athens, Ohio, on Wednesday night.

Jefferson played 31 minutes due largely to the fact that junior forward-center Micheal Eric played just 10 minutes due to his four personal fouls. The Chester, Pa., product also grabbed eight rebounds, including three of the offensive variety.

Khalif Wyatt was the star of the first half as he scored 12 of his 14 points in the opening twenty minutes. He finished the game shooting 4 of 6, including 4 of 5 from behind the 3-point line.

The big three of Ramone Moore, Lavoy Allen and Juan Fernandez all found ways to contribute. Moore finished the game with 17 points, four rebounds and four assists. Allen scored just six points but grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. Juan Fernandez scored seven points but set a new career-highs with nine assists and four steals.

This victory marked Temple's sixth in a row and completed a season sweep of MAC teams (Toledo, Central Michigan, Akron, Northern Illinois and Ohio).
