Temple Vs Western Michigan Final Score: Temple 69, Western Michigan 55

The Temple Owls scored the game's first nine points and never trailed on Thursday, defeating Western Michigan 69-55 in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Temple (2-0) used a balanced offensive effort to build a 16-point lead by halftime. Ramone Moore led the Owls with 15 points, and all five starters scored in double figures. Juan Fernandez had 14 points and six assists, and Michael Eric scored 12 points and 15 rebounds. 

The Owls limited Western Michigan to 7-30 shooting (23.3 percent) in the first half, and Western Michigan's starting guards managed just 1-15 shooting. Matt Stainbrook led the Broncos with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Flenard Whitfield mustered 11 points. 

Each Temple starter played at least 30 minutes, and the Temple bench scored only four points. Temple won despite shooting just 39.4 percent, though the Owls did hit eight of 20 three point attempts.
