The 6-4 Temple Owls have absolutely dominated the 3-7 Army Black Knights in the first quarter of the two team's Saturday non-conference match-up. The Black Knights have yet to record a victory this season, and that trend looks like it will continue if the first quarter was any indication.
Temple has 10 first downs to Army's one. Temple has 168 total yards to Army's 22. Temple has had the ball for 11 minutes, Army's had the ball for four. The Owls could not have played any better in the first quarter, and it shows both in the box score and on the scoreboard as they lead 14-0.
Quarterback Chris Coyer has only attempted one pass, which he completed for 17 yards. The rest of the Owls' yards have come on the ground. Bernard Price has 10 carries for 63 yards. Coyer has six carries for 44 yards and Matt Brown has 44 yards on four carries. At this pace the Owls will finish with 600 yards on the ground.
The remainder of the game can be seen on ESPN3.
