In a game that saw the two teams combine for nearly 700 yards rushing, Temple marched their way downfield on the ground multiple times en route to an easy 42-14 victory over the Army Black Knights. With the win Temple improves to 7-4 on the season.
Temple quarterback Chris Coyer completed 80 percent of his five pass attempts for 79 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 34 more yards. The Owls were carried once again by their one-two punch at running back. Bernard Pierce had 157 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns, and Matt Brown had 133 yards on eight carries and two touchdowns.
Both teams accumulated 20 first downs and Army won the time possession. The only turnover in the game was committed by Army quarterback Max Jenkins. Army's quarterbacks combined for 28 yards on 12 pass attempts.
Temple finishes the season next week, hosting Kent State. The Owls will look to finish on a season-high three-game winning streak, and a four-game home winning streak.
