Temple Vs Wichita State: Owls Play In Puerto Rico Tip Off 3rd Place Game Today

The Temple Owls will play in the third place game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off today at 5pm against the Wichita State Shockers. Temple lost to Purdue in the previous round while Wichita fell to Alabama.

The Owls will be looking for more composure from their senior leaders this afternoon than they got against Purdue. Both Juan Fernandez and Michael Eric fouled out and the team didn't exactly come off looking composed in their reaction to the calls.

"You got to keep your head in any type of situation," said senior shooting guard Ramone Moore, "We can't worry about what type of calls the refs are making. We just have to stay together and move on to the next play. This is something we can learn from."

Temple will need those two players to stay out of foul trouble in order to handle Shockers senior G Toure Murray, who came off the bench to score 21 points and pull down five boards in their loss to Alabama. That said, fouling Wichita players hasn't exactly hurt opponents in this tournament. The Shockers are only shooting 56.5 percent from from the foul line.
