The Owls look well on their way to their first Bowl Game victory in over 30 years. This is only the fourth time they've made post-season play, but are playing like the belong against the 8-4 Wyoming Cowboys in the New Mexico Bowl.
Temple leads 31-7 heading into the final quarter, and they've been carried once again, by their explosive running game. Through three quarters they have 195 yards on the ground and three touchdowns on 37 carries. Despite allowing nearly 200 yards rushing in three quarters, Temple has been slowed a bit by one of the worst rush defenses in the nation. Bernard Pierce in particular, is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry, down from his season average of 5.6.
The remainder of the game can be seen on ESPN and ESPN3. Temple will have possession of the football to begin the fourth quarter quarter.
