Temple Vs. Texas Final Score: Owls Lose to Longhorns, 77-65

Temple's three-game winning streak came to an end today as they fell to the Texas Longhorns in Austin, by a final score of 77-65. The loss drops Temple's record to 6-3 on the season.

The Owls actually led Texas at halftime, but were man-handled in the second half and out-scored 46-31. The two areas where the Owls lost the game was on the glass and at the free throw line. Texas was the more physical team and it showed.  The Longhorns out-rebounded the Owls 46 to 20, including a 16-3 difference in offensive rebounds. Texas also got to the free throw line 14 more times. Adding insult to injury, the Owls only converted on 50 percent of their 20 free throw attempts.

Khalif Wyatt scored a game-high 24 points on 14 shots. He was 4-7 from beyond and 4-7 from the free throw line. Temple remains on the road as they travel down the street to play Rice University on Monday the 19. May the best Owl win.
