Khalif Wyatt provided a spark off the bench for the Owls, connecting on 3 of 5 three-point attempts and 4 of 5 field goals overall. His 11 points were the most scored by any players on either team at the half.

Lavoy Allen scored six points for Temple and grabbed two rebounds. Scootie Randall, Micheal Eric and Rahlir Jefferson also grabbed two rebounds apiece.

Despite starting very slow offensively, Temple finished the half shooting 46.2 percent from the field.

Aaric Murray led La Salle with six points and six rebounds. La Salle outrebounded the Owls 25-11, including a whopping 12 offensive rebounds.

The Explorers shot 34.4 percent from the floor and 25 percent from three-point land. They dished just two assists to 12 turnovers, an exceptionally horrible ratio.
