Temple's Scootie Randall Likely to Miss Atlantic 10 Tournament

The news comes via 610 WIP (never thought I would credit them for anything Temple related) via OwlScoop.com's Twitter:

@Owlscoop_com: #Temple coach Fran Dunphy just told WIP's Morning Show that the Owls are unlikely to have F Scootie Randall for the A-10 Tournament.

↵

@Owlscoop_com: Randall has what is believed to be a hairline fracture in a bone in his right foot.

↵

@Owlscoop_com: Dunphy was encouraged to see Randall up and shooting yesterday but said he's still sore.

Well, it looks like Temple's road to the four-peat just got that much harder. I can't imagine a seven man squad will be able to match up with the likes of Xavier and Richmond over the course of three days in Atlantic City. Still, if this means that Randall will be that much closer to 100 percent for the Big Dance then I am sure Owls fans will be willing to swallow this bitter pill.

The 6-6 junior swingman was arguably one of the biggest surprises in the Atlantic 10 as he averaged 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game in his first season of seeing significant action on the court.. Primarily a jump shooter, Randall connected on 49.8 percent of his shots overall and 37.2 percent from distance.
