Temple hosted forward Kamari Murphy this week for the 17 year old's first unofficial recruiting visit of the spring. Murphy is set to graduate this year, but intends to do a year of post graduate school before going to college. So Temple is looking at him for their 2012 class. His AAU coach Dana Dingle said that the ability to possible step in and play quickly is something interests Murphy about Temple and the Atlantic 10.
↵↵↵"[Temple is] losing a bunch of seniors and so he would have the opportunity to play right away and it's close to home," Dingle continued. "He's intrigued."
↵"I know he can excel early in the Atlantic 10," Dingle said.

Dingle himself played in the A-10 with UMass during the Marcus Camby years, when their rivalry with Temple was at its high. The coach said that playing as a freshman and having a good shot at the NCAA tournament are important to Murphy's decision and the athletic 6-8 forward could likely have both of those desires met at Temple. However, he does have offers on the table from Rutgers, Seton Hall, Arizona, Florida State, Iowa and Pittsburgh.
↵Here's what ESPN's recruiting site had to say about Murphy
↵↵A 6-foot-8 high-level athlete with a rapidly emerging inside-out skill set, Murphy projects as a hybrid type face-up four-man at the next level who will be able make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor but also cause matchup problems with his ability to stretch his offensive game.
