A win against Duke earned Temple headlines and SportsCenter air time, but it does nothing when it comes to the Atlantic 10 Conference standings. The Owls lost their first conference outing and now approach consecutive road games against tough conference foes.
The first comes Wednesday night at 9 p.m. against the St. Louis Billikens (TV: CBSSN).
The Billikens (13-3, 1-1) pounded George Washington on Saturday, 78-56. Four St. Louis players scored in double figures, led by Dwyane Evans' season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Temple will be looking to rebound from a loss to Dayton on Saturday in the conference opener, when the Owls surrendered an 18-2 second-half run that turned a seven-point lead into a nine-point deficit. The result was Temple's first loss in its last 26 games at the Liacouras Center, which came despite a career-high 28 points from Khalif Wyatt.
After meeting St. Louis, the Owls visit Richmond on Saturday before returning to the Liacouras Center against La Salle next Wednesday.
