Temple Vs Duke: Owls Host #5 Blue Devils At Wells Fargo Center Tonight

The Temple Owls prepare for Atlantic 10 Conference play Wednesday by hosting the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.

What better way to tune up for Atlantic 10 Conference play then to host the No. 5-ranked team in the nation, Duke University, and that's just what the Temple Owls will be doing Wednesday (7 p.m. on ESPN2) when the Blue Devils visit the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA for a non-conference men's college basketball game.

The Owls (9-3) begin league play Saturday against visiting Dayton Flyers, but first will try to hold their own against Duke, which has earned 10 straight victories versus Temple. However, a big, upset victory for the Owls isn't out of the cards, as Temple has beaten at least one top 10 program in the last four seasons.

Senior guard Ramone Moore enter the contest as the leading scorer (17.4 points per game) for Temple, which enters the game on a three-game winning streak. Junior guard Khalif Wyatt is averaging a 14.2 ppg.

Meanwhile, Duke is paced by freshman guard Austin Rivers (15.4 ppg), while junior forward Mason Plumlee is averaging a near double-double (11.5 ppg and 9.7 rebounds per game).
