The Temple Owls are scrambling to add a 12th game to their schedule because of their sudden move to the Big East. According to a report in the Star-Advertiser via Big East Bias, the Owls could scheduled their twelfth game to be against the Hawaii Warriors at Aloha Stadium in December.
The Owls have been searching for an opponent for a twelfth game since the summer and was not interested in taking a quick paycheck against an FCS team. Right now the Owls are currently 3-3 on the season. Adding the Warriors to the scheduled could help the Owls in their quest to become bowl eligible.
So far this season, the Warriors are 1-5, winless in the Mountain West Conference and their only victory came against the Lamar Cardinals of FCS' Southland Conference back on Sept. 16. The Owls are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday at noon at Heinz Field with the game broadcasted on the Big East Network.
