The Temple Owls make their return to the Big East in Week 6 of the college football season, hosting the South Florida Bulls at Lincoln Financial Field. The Owls enter the game off a bye week, their second in the first month of the season. Steve Addazio's club has dropped two straight to BCS-conference opponents after a season-opening win over Villanova. They were upset at home by Maryland, and the oddsmakers have adjusted accordingly in the second month of the season. South Florida is favored by four points.
The Bulls enter with a losing streak of their own, dropping their final three games in the month of September. It started with a sloppy, ugly home loss to Rutgers and was exacerbated with a road loss to Ball State. The Bulls hung tough last week with the No. 3 team in the country, Florida State, covering the spread but still losing by 13. B.J. Daniels is a steady dual-threat quarterback, and USF averages more than 260 yards passing per game.
Kickoff is scheduled for Noon ET and the game will be available on several networks in the east, including MASN, SNY and CSCA. It can also be watched online via ESPN3.
