Temple vs Towson: Owls look to get back on track

The Owls are hoping to get back to their winning ways after losing to Duke with a victory over Towson.

US PRESSWIRE

The Temple Owls have had a tremendous start to their 2012-13 season, and look to continue that trend when they face the Towson Tigers in the Liacouras Center on Wednesday night.

Temple is 6-1 on the campaign, with its lone loiss coming against the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils 90-67 on Dec. 8. The Owls have played a relatively weak schedule thus far, with the only teams they've beaten of note being the Kent State Golden Flashes and Villanova Wildcats.

However, the schedule is about to toughen up with looming contests against the fourth-ranked Syracuse Orange and No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks right before Atlantic 10 play starts.

Temple has been led thus far by senior Scootie Randall, who is tops on his team with 15.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per night.

Towson (4-5) comes into play after barely losing to 15th ranked Georgetown 46-40. The Tigers can be tough on the interior, ranking 55th in the nation in rebounding.
