The Temple Owls take on the Duke Blue Devils as both teams hold undefeated records on Saturday at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. The Owls have beaten a number of mid-majors and are coming off a 76-71 over rival Villanova that put them at 6-0. Duke has had a much tougher route to their 8-0 start, with impressive wins over Kentucky, Louisville, and Ohio State.
Temple is led by Scootie Randall. The senior has played 89 percent of the possible minutes thus far, while using almost 25 percent of the possessions while he is on the floor. Randall has been efficient with the ball, turning it over less than 18 percent of the time while hitting nearly 55 percent of his two-pointers.
Mason Plumlee has been the focal point for the Blue Devils. The 6'10 senior is hitting 65 percent from the floor, while taking about eight free throws for every field goal he attempts. Plumlee has been solid when getting to the line, knocking down 76 percent. He will be a tough matchup for the Owls on Saturday.
The two teams will meet at 3:17 p.m. ET with the game to be televised by ESPN.
