Temple (18-5, 7-2) hasn't lost since Jan. 14, rattling off a string of seven straight victories, five of those by double-digits. The Owls trailed by 12 points at halftime against George Washington Wednesday night, but pieced together a late 13-0 run that resulted in a 79-72 victory. The ever-potent guard duo of Ramone Moore and Khalif Wyatt combined for 47 points, but fellow starter Juan Fernandez suffered a hip-pointer and is considered day-to-day.
Xavier is 7-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, just one-half game behind Temple. The Musketeers have won three straight in league play, including an 84-66 thrashing of Rhode Island on Wednesday paced by Tu Holloway's 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
