Senior guard Ramone Moore continued his torrid February with 30 points in Temple's 85-72 victory over the visiting Xavier Musketeers on Saturday night. The win keeps Temple atop the A-10 with an 8-2 conference record, and the Owls improved to 18-5 overall.
Temple shot 45% from behind the three point arc, including a combined six makes from Moore and back court mate Khalif Wyatt, who finished with 18 points overall.
Tu Holloway, Xavier's senior leader, led the Musketeers with 23 points, but Temple held a major edge on the boards, out rebounding Xavier 38-27. After starting the year 8-0, Xavier has lost nine of its last 17 games.
Temple will next take to the court on Wednesday when they travel to play St. Bonaventures.
